There are two possible definitions of time according to the Ancient Greeks:
—Chronos, which reduces everything to productivity and measurability.
—Kairos, which values time as a moment of beauty and profound meaning in our daily life.
How can we transform our relationship with time, moving from the logic of Chronos to that of Kairos?
«Time for us becomes Kairos again: that is, it is a ‘qualitative’ element, returning to being the ‘supreme moment’ that – reconnecting us with the universe and with humanity – can (re)give us the wonder in front of the miracle and mystery of Beauty».
What emerges from the reflections of Attilio Cristiano Vaccaro Belluscio, published in our Pamphlet n. 9 – TIME –, is an invitation to rethink the priorities of our life, shifting the focus from the quantity to the quality of the time we spend, reconnecting with beauty and its saving value capable of restoring meaning to our existence.
