During the National Made in Italy Day, hosted in Milan at the Casa del Made in Italy under the patronage of MIMIT, Alessandro Continiello, Liaison Officer & Industry Advisor at Agatòs Syntagma, spoke on “The Strategic Value of Italian Corporate Security.”
In his speech, Continiello redefined the scope of Made in Italy, understood as an “integrated ecosystem of skills, information, and processes” in which know-how represents the true critical asset.
“For any Italian company, a large portion of the fundamental tools and processes for production are heavily influenced by international and foreign companies: cloud computing, internal process management services, supply chains, etc.”
In this scenario, corporate security and intelligence emerge as strategic tools for the protection and development of businesses: from preventing information leaks—physical and cyber—to mapping competitive contexts and global supply chains.
A key development concerned the concept of “competitive sovereignty,” proposed as an operational evolution of traditional definitions of sovereignty (energy, digital, defense). This paradigm focuses on the ability of Italian companies to “protect, control, and enhance their information and industrial assets” in an increasingly interconnected environment dependent on global infrastructures.
Protecting Italian expertise means defending our country’s competitive future.
